where has she gone?
asked the land,parched and thirsty
to the sky thirsty and blue
no answer came,no monsoon came
where has she gone ?
asked the child, his lips parched, thirst in his throat
to his mother thirsty and weak
no monsoon came but an answer came
"she has gone far away to wet the lands
to turn leaves green,to feed the rivers
she is on gods command
for god alone commands"
where has she gone
asked the child with his hands towards the sky
with thirst in his throat
to the sun scorching and merciless
no answer came and he couldn't hide
the dry grass and the ribbed cows looked to the sky
in the yellow of the sun they waited
not a cloud any where the sun couldn't hide
no water anywhere the sky remained silent
she then came dancing to the drums of angles
pouring rains mingled with love from her bosom
but she was late for the land ate the child
the land was no longer thirsty for tears can quench thirst
the child died of thirst and his lips were parched
his mother sat by his grave drenched in her rain
she remained silent,no answer came
god remained silent no answer came
